We're looking at that option. We're not in DC, but about 3.5 hours away.

Earliest we could possibly get a new passport is Monday. The problem is that OCI won't be valid with new passport since she just turned 50 last year so OCI would need to be reissued.

If they allow getting a visa in the new passport, the earliest for that would theoretically be Tuesday, assuming they would even issue a visa for someone that's already an OCI holder.

Can't stay in DC for 2 days, have child and pets to deal with, so looking at 7-hour roundtrips both days.

At this point, barring getting any official info, plan is to be in DC first thing Tuesday AM to the consulate, hope for the best, and fly out that evening.

Anyone have the TIMATIC info that specifically states entry requirements that 6-month validity is needed for OCI holders, as opposed to just having a valid passport? The only reference to 6 months is on the mea.gov.in website in OCI FAQ's.
