I applied for renewal in late November and was completely approved (no interview required) about a week later. My wife applied for her renewal on December 8th and her application still says "pending review." We visited all the same countries and none (except maybe Colombia) are ones that I'd consider any type of red flag. I was initially thinking the shutdown was the culprit, but seeing all these other quick approvals has me a bit concerned. Technically she doesn't expire until late 2019, so I guess we'll just keep waiting...
