I just had a stay at the ibis STYLES excel hotel last week. The whole hotel (apart from the lobby and cafe/restaurant) is under rennovation/refurbishment. There is no notices anywhere on the website about this, and even inside the hotel or rooms no signs at all that I could see, so I have no idea how long it will last....but most of the carpets in hallways on various floors are covered in plastic, some rooms are totally gutted and empty, while at least one entire floor that I saw had still the old rooms, so could be AT LEAST a few months from now before it's all finished. If you are staying at the STYLES near the excel, be prepared for a lot of noise in the hotel during the daytime.
A "normal" hotel would put some notices in the elevators and rooms apologising for the noise & clutter everywhere and inform guests how long it will last...
