I've shared my story in other FF forums and the feedback has been incredibly consistent -- LATAM is a nightmare to deal with, so you basically have to pray your original ticket doesn't require any changes (or isn't changed involuntarily). It's amazing they're able to conduct business in this manner. I would love to see USDOT slap them with some massive penalties for the way they operate.
To make things worse, remaining flights are operated by 2x EK, 1x GA.
In worst case, I will go to to bank to request charge back.
