The large commercial boats are fine and several are included in the iamsterdam card. But if there are a few of you and you want a special experience -- take a look at https://amsterdamprivateboattour.com/. A new all electric boat, solar battery powered, very quiet. Comfortable, nice amenities. The www site lists a pretty high price -- it was much much cheaper booking through airbnb experiences -- https://www.airbnb.com/experiences/390102.
Highly recommend the iamsterdam card (iamsterdam.com). Multiple museum admissions (and AMS museums are not cheap) and public transport all included. You can buy at the airport or rail station.
