When flying other airlines with 1-2-1 configs we would normally both choose window seats and sit behind each other. It's easy to get up and chat if you don't have a neighbour.
Yes, I think that's blocked for crew, but they may release it. However I would perhaps suggest a pair on the starboard side since the view into SEA on that side are great, down from Vancouver and the Puget Sound. I guess you could go for 10J and 10K and just swap seats as needed. or go to rows 14 and 15, though the views there are obstructed by the wings. 15 has direct access. That service does have good views of Iceland, Greenland and Baffin Island.
