#2 applied for a renewal (4 months before expiration) and received a conditional approval with interview requirement, just like child
#1 . Of course this is completely pointless as she is still in grade school though maybe they want updated fingerprints LOL. But neither Mrs. B or I were required to interview on renewal so I'm going to go on a limb and hypothesize that the interview requirement is completely random. The only countries she visited were UK, France, Mexico and Canada. On the plus side, it was only 7 days from submission to conditional approval.
