I'm not sure if you can put in a surface sector that might permit something more exotic but it looks like this fare limits you to DPS/JKT - SYD or HKG or TYO - LAX

Fair enough ... I was just trying to explain the principle of MPM fares and surcharge if you go over the MPM. But, yes you do have to consider the transfer rules as well.
