Initially, I'd planned to go into Cairns and grab lunch then walk around a bit before catching my onward flight. However, the late arrival from POM made that option a bit less appealing. Coupled with the lingering sinusitis and my lack of interest in Cairns, I decided to stay at the airport and hydrate. The Qantas lounge was serviceable, though the food selection was substantially worse than the QF lounge at SYD.
The time passed fairly quickly and it was time to board before long. This would be my first time flying a B717, so that was new.
