I do have the TSU confirmed into the larger suite at the GH, so it at least feels like a "better" deal. In terms of location - we are planning on day trips to the countryside for a couple days, and relaxation at the resort for the rest of the time, and having it more secluded is not such a bad thing. Considering how inexpensive it is to get a private driver/tour in Bali, the location seems less important.

It’s also about how much time you waste. You add at least 30 minutes, and often an hour coming from Nusa Dua if you’re going to Ubud or other places more inland. Plus the same on the return.
If you have the time, stay at both. That’s what we did in 2011. We started in Sanur, and once we got to the GH, we wished we had stayed at the unrennovated Bali Hyatt the entire stay.
