People who sit in first class come from all walks of life. The rich who can afford it, frequent flyers who earn it. Maybe someone middle class who is treating themselves on the one trip a year they can afford. Should they not expect a little special treatment?
When I buy a F ticket, I see advertised perks such as SkyPriorty, Free Bags, a bigger, free drinks and sometimes even meals, and even getting on and off the plane first, but where in the advertised perks on the website is “Lower Passenger to Lav Ratio”?
I’m pretty capitalistic but we all go to the bathroom. Not everyone can hold it and the airlines don’t always have their aircraft setup to realistically expect everyone to use the lav in their cabin, especially when the FAs have carts blocking the aisle for 20-30 min or more. There’s also nothing special about the lavs in domestic F. Passengers in Int’l J/F have a case where the lavs do come with increased amenities (and sometimes more space too).
On today’s flight, I used the F lav despite being seated in C+. Flight had been fairly bumpy. We finally hit some smooth air though we were told to expect more bumps as we made our way to ATL. The Y lavs filled up quickly with lines m. No one was in the F lav. I went and used it so that I would minimize the amount I was out of my seat unbelted and prevent myself from being told to return to my seat if I was waiting in the back and we hit turbulence again.

So what happens when I did actually did pay for it but then due to IROPS get rebooked into a flight where F was already full and am I now seated in Y? (As happened when I got rerouted the other day).
