Fee when cancelling redemption with very low tax
Apologies if this has been answered already but a quick search did not bring anything relevant.
I have a China Eastern redemption with a less than 5 EUR tax component. If I cancel this reservation, will I be charged the full 45 EUR cancellation fee to my card and refunded the original tax separately? Or is it like BA Avios where if the tax is lower than cancellation fee then all you lose is the tax amount?
