I’ve stayed at this hotel every July since 2010 and every year the hotel has rates of around $120 booking direct because July is low season because of the high heat.

I’m normally able to BRG based on rates from many many other providers for around $100.

This year however the rates are showing around $250-300 per night. That’s crazy for low season in Phoenix. It’s more expensive than the newly renovated Phoenician and is on par with Waldorf Astoria and the Four Seasons.

Will the rates come down closer to the time or is this the new normal now that Marriott have taken charge.
