yes and the same for hotels. Have £1200 booking with a hotel that Amex we’re charging £1700 for!
It played to my advantage with the AMEX travel promo late last year, booking on MH was £500 but booking via AMEX was £604 then £200 cashback so worked out well, as £600 was the trigger limit.
