Lucky you. Literally the first time I tried to fly Spirit after they shifted to an ULCC, it ended up being a trip in vain due to IRROPS at ORD (that other airlines seemed to handle just fine).
It can happen, of course, but Spirit operations seem to have gotten better in the last couple of years. They were 89% ontime in October 2018, the highest in the USA. Credit given where it's due.
