It's not that close to the MTR, it's probably in between the HKU and Sai Ying Pun stations. About a 7 minute walk to get to the platforms. It's also not particularly lively at night given that the area is more commercial in the day for wholesalers. Although it would be livelier than most cities.
However, it does have a shuttle to Central and is very close to the tram stops and major bus routes.
