I can't confirm the pricing for itineraries via London. Using the information from this thread I focussed on IAD as that was listed as being one of the last flight combos that was still pricing, although substantially more than the original CX only flights at around USD1300/1600 for o/w and return. These were CX/VN-AA-AA
These higher fares were still available at around midnight New York time on the 31st. They were withdrawn not much longer after that.
Others reported successfully ticketing itineraries 'on hold' with CX. This took place a couple of days after the fares were withdrawn (posted up thread).
