I once saw Herb's office but I wasn't lucky enough to meet him. I would have said thank you for making it possible to work hundreds of miles from home.
Herb's successors have improved the passenger experience in many ways (not counting densified seating!) while maintaining very affordable prices. They have remained true to Herb's vision and friendly corporate culture.
As in the movie Sleeper, I look forward to a new expert medical consensus that smoking and drinking hard alcohol promote longevity. Herb has shown us the way.
