Received a text and email from Amex telling me someone had tried using my card online this evening at John Lewis. I had used this card to book flights with BA during the period card numbers had been stolen.
Mightily pissed off- the card number is a memorable one I have had for years.
Whilst I have not lost anything I have had my existing card cancelled and will be cardless over the New Year. Thank goodness for Amex SafeKey. But the wait time to get through to the Amex fraud team was long!!
