Expedia and Affirm say they are partnered to allow you to pay for the trip with monthly installment payments. When you are approved for the amount of the trip (you can only get the amount Expedia lists for the total), the payment doesn't work. The reason, insufficient funds due to an extra 1.00 charge from Expedia to Affirm. Expedia sends a 1.00 pending charge to Affirm despite the total amount allowed has already been capped so the payment on the booking doesn't process. I spent all day on the phone with both companies and now have two outstanding loans (yes, I tried twice). I have no bookings and no one on either end can fix it or understand my issue (Expedia mainly doesn't get it). Anyone have suggestions? I already reported this to Expedia directly.
