Maybe after all of that hard work raising kids, he just gets some satisfaction seeing his daughter in a respectable job ... and one where part of her job description is to serve him a drink.
Hopefully just sweet and not helicopter parenting.
I guess the answer lies in how the trip ended. If they celebrated together at the end of her shift or if she snuck out through employee exit and lost him?
