Frequent stayers get more "VIP" points than one-time RAs.
It's fun sometimes to ask how many times I've stayed at a hotel (and even better when they proactively offer) ... occasionally you hit a milestone such as 10 or 25 stays, and then you may get something like a bottle of champagne or special upgrade.
It's those extra perks that make a difference.
Yup. Not in Tokyo you won't. I'm at ... 30-some stays of a week each, and I still have to argue every time to get more than a 2-level upgrade.
Forget about a bottle of cheap bubbly!
