Ba.com said that there was a ban on electronics in effect for about 9 months AFTER it was lifted to Turkey (in truth BA was just too cheap to do what they had to do securitywise), ba.com went and said all operations would be moving at IST, almost right up to the 29th of October, even though everyone knew that it was not going to happen, and again they are3 johnny come lately on this one too. I would say that there is less than a 1% chance of BA, or any other carrier having any real operations out of ISL at the beginning of the year, they will be lucky if they get the airport going full tilt at some point in 2019 at this rate and January 2, 2020 in fact would not be a crazy prediction. (Then again BA and UK folks should still find that to be hyper speed, I believe T5 from being proposed to finished was about 13 years, and a new runway at LHR seems to have been going on for more than 2 decades now...........
