I'm currently in MUC T1 at the Airport Lounge Europe (PP) after shifting over from the adjacent Air France/KLM Lounge.(which I had access to via SkyTeam status).
Quick impressions of each, noting that it's early on Saturday and they're both nearly empty:
AF/KL is segmented into various areas by partitions, the magazine rack, etc. This makes it easier to find a nook but also makes the lounge feel smaller. Breakfast options include yogurt, croissants, cereal, bread/jam, and hard boiled eggs.
Airport Lounge feels nicer and newer - more comfortable chairs, tables with a padded bench along the wall instead of individual chairs, and a more substantial and spacious food area. Breakfast options include yogurt, croissants, cold cuts, cereal, bread/jam, and fruit.
Next trip I may just come straight to the Airport Lounge. One potential drawback is that they explicitly say flight announcements are not made in the lounge, while the AF/KL lounge is more likely to say something about AF and KL flights. I solved that by setting an alarm on my phone....
