It all sounds a bit too long winded but that is IHG all over. The minibar nonsense just sounds like an accounting nightmare and as @
turner32 says above will simply result in checkout headaches.
With welcome drinks voucher for one and now breakfast for one you have to question if they are anti-leisure.
