I have previously booked all my flights by telephoning the Senator hotline for the UK shown on the Miles & More website. Yesterday I called the same number twice and on each occasion was told that as my itinerary did not include any LH flights and only LX flights a recent rule change prevented the agent making the booking for me and that I could only book through a LX office. On the first occasion the agent transferred me to the LX calll centre for the UK but after being kept on hold for 30 minutes I gave up and dialled the number myself only to wait another 25 minutes for an agent to answer who then proceeded to take over 45 minutes to make the booking allegedly due to her computer crashing. 16 hours later I have still not received an email confirmation of the booking nor an e-ticket.
Clearly this is an unacceptable level of service and I would be very grateful if forum members based in the UK could provide me with suggestions a better telephone number for use from the UK.
