There is no give with the taxation so calling up is not going to change anything.
Its approx 10% tax and 10% service charge. Look on the brightside you do not have to tip here - as a American you would likely have to tip 15-20% if doing this in the US (and sales tax would be added also). Also if this was in the US, there would also be an obscene resort charge just to gouge you a little more
