username that is very interesting and I assume that you are a 1K. What fare class were you? And I wonder if it is an "elite" heavy route and you were out of luck due to that. I think someone might have explained how they apply the seat assignment but don't have time to trawl this thread or the others. I'd be a little upset if that happened to me too so you have my sympathy for whatever that is worth.
