They were advised today that the LAX-DUB portion of the flight has been cancelled and they can choose to return 4 days early or 1 day later (neither of which suit), they were then offered a flight with a 30 minute connection at LAX but as two of the group will require mobility assistance they don't want to risk it. They were finally told they can be rebooked onto a BA flight only, as no other carriers are aligned with them. The only compatible BA flights are 8 hours earlier than their original evening departure from Vegas.

Does anybody have any suggestions on dealing with Expedia? I'm more than confident to tackle airlines on directly booked tickets, but not 100% on "package holiday" legalities or in-fact any legalities going through Expedia.

I'd take the BA option for same day travel. Flights cancelations happen.
