I wouldn't call the Mac&cheese particularly "light"!!! It's actually a lot heavier/richer than the steamed place (which you can have on its own if you ask).
I love a good Mac&cheese. My problem with the CCR one is that they do not have the ovens to make its topping crisp and golden so it's a bit soggy and precisely feels heavier than when it is properly "gratine" (even if it is admittedly a pure illusion the calories don't
actually go away when the cheese and crumb topping hardens

I agree the first version was nicer. The AF P lounge one by Ducasse (though actually not grilled) is to die for, made with special cured ham, comte and extravagant amounts of fresh shaved black truffle. Highly recommended.
