i wince when I hear this, you seem to have got another agent determined to talk out of their bumhole sadly. There is no such limit. If you go on aa.com I think it has space for 6 city pairs - each city pair can include more than one sector - so a search for city pair NYC-SFO should show the JFK-LAX-SFO option. There is a sector limit but I think it is something like 16 or more, well above what a normal exEU booking to the US would have. I have no idea why the agent couldn’t simply take the flight numbers and dates and price it up. It’s really disappointing to see yet another useless booking agent.
Did using ita PowerTools and transferring it to aa.com not work? Hope you get it booked soon.
