Three days in Salzburg are plenty. I’d definitely add another night in Munich. If you’re into wine, Wachau Valley is great and you can add in half a day to visit Melk Abbey. Another choice would be the Bodensee (Lake Constance) area - Meersburg, Friedrichshafen, Lindau, Mainau.
Bodensee is fabulous. OK, I am biased since I live there, but it would be a very easy addition between Salzburg and Munich and a good way to get out of the big cities. Linda and Mainau are probably the best option for a late Spring trip. My home town of Bregenz is also under-rated.
