7 calendar days. It is possible, I presume to expedite in person. As with all things Italian, go in person, plead your case very nicely and see what they can do. I am sure the visa reason would not matter if you claim polite ignorance. It is not much help, but it often depends on the person you are dealing with too. "Rules" are not our big Italian strong.
