Some airlines charge for toddlers depending on the cabin and/or the ticket price. LX calculates depending on the ticket price of the parents.
What you are trying is just booking Y for your child and then taking him into J/F, hence saving a few hundred bucks. Don't do that.
Why would you do that? If you can afford a F class companion fare you can definetly afford the Infant charge.
Somebody recently did it on SIA and the FA rightously denied them to sit in J unless they paid the charge.
You can just book the child into the F partner award anyway... Those 100-200 EUR won't kill you...
