If the ORD-LAX is under five hours (presuming it is) then it falls within the one world connecting lounge access rules. You’ll have access to any available oneworld lounge at the connecting point. Separate tickets shouldn’t be an issue.

Thanks. Flight is under 5 hours. Have not heard of this rule. It sounds like something an AA dragon lounge may not have heard of either? Hopefully will be easy..

Based on your same day IB business flight you definitely have lounge access in ORD, not only can you use the AC but also the much nicer Flaghsip Lounge, separate tickets dont matter but make sure to save your IB boarding pass to show for entry.
