It was my understanding they can no longer force a CPU at T-72hrs but can force it if the upgrade is supported with a RPU/GPU/mileage. Uncertain how this plays out if there are more than 1 GS on the list.
My experience last year on this subject was that I wanted to clear my wife and myself into PN on SFO-SIN with 8 seats remaining at exactly the 72 hour mark. We were 4th and 5th on the upgrade priority, so the phone agent cleared everyone in front of us, as well as the two of us, which left 3 seats open in J, and thus followed their guideline for inventory management.
