This is a very interesting development. My wife has I believe 2 Asiana cards in Korea (NH and another one), and I have one in the US (the Bank of America Visa one).
Charging $10k for each of them in a year or 2 years would definitely not be a problem.
Flying 10k / year too as I guess we do one trip to Korea per year.
I do agree with others that this might dilute the value of Asiana Diamond, but it is to be seen.
Maybe they are trying to capture the US market, Chase Sapphire apparently stopped the miles transfer to Korean Air, and Koreans in the US loved the card, and the airline.
However, I don't think that would be enough to steer that many people from the US.
