Maybe to OpUp passengers when they oversell Economy. Happened to me one time last year on ORD-CDG. Then, I was a Platinum and had not waitlisted an instrument to upgrade to Polaris Business. I was already sitting in my Economy + bulkhead seat when they asked me to move to Business and it was a good seat: 6J on the 3-class 772.
