Yes, the purpose of strikes and threats of strikes is to undermined the ability of your employer to be profitable and reduce job security and the ability to argue for an increase in wages.
Union or no union, companies that are successful in the long-term have good working relationships with their employees are resolve these types of issues far away from the attention of customers.
