1. Go to http://www.flightstats.com within 24 hours of when the flight is supposed to depart. Punch in the flight number, including the "DL" code at the beginning (e.g. DL3560.) Click on the flight when it comes up, and then click "View Flight Details." Toward the bottom of the flight details, you'll see the tail number of the flight (it should start with an N, have at least 3 digits, and then have other digits and/or letters, for example N16065 or N904DN.)

2. Go to http://www.flightaware.com. Punch in the tail number from step 1. It'll show you all the flights that plane is scheduled to fly.

Step 1 is unnecessary. Put the flight number into Flight Aware, then click Track Inbound Plane. Done
