Yesterday I just transferring points to my SPG/Marriott and noticed the SPG number that was showing was different from both my historical SPG number and also my new merged Marriot number. I called Amex and they indicated that that was the new number that was provided to them so I asked them to switch it to my new Marriott number and the CSR stated that they had dealt with this issue previously and to keep the SPG number that they were provided. My SPG Amex was also showing this same new SPG number. So, then I called SPG and she said to keep it as is although I don't 100% believe she knew what she was talking about. 24 hours later, there is no transfer to my Marriott rewards account. Has anyone else experienced this? I should also note that transfers pre-merger were done with my old SPG number with no issues noted.
