I don't believe you get my point at all.

CX can't ban you from upgrading from GO to DM as soon as you qualify. But AMEX can choose not to invite you for Centurion, even you have a Platinum Card for years and excellent of everything.

My point is even you can manufacture for a Centurion invitation, AMEX still holds all the cards, unlike CX.
