Absolutely agree. Having done multiple long haul flights in all types the 777 is the one I avoid most due to air quality and lack of humidity. The 747 may be older but I get off feeling far fresher than I ever do on a 777. A newer aircraft is not always better, and the recent refurbishment of the super J 747s has helped to address some of the issues like poor IFE.

The 787 though as you say seems to be a step change for the better.
