Well the P1000 and SX70 were totally worth the wait... sigh.

P1000: Possibly useful to non-discerning voyeurs, otherwise a poor choice for a $1000. Same mediocre sensor found in the P900.
SX70: Barely an improvement over the SX60 which was barely an improvement over the SX50.
