It is very tight but certainly possible. However, I understand that your other flight from AMS is on a separate ticket ? If yes, this is a big NO GO. LHR is prone to delays and you can have delays for other reasons than LHR. I said it's very tight but feasible but just a simple 10 min delay will turn it into a missed connection to AMS. While this would be of little consequence for someone just flying to AMS because he/she would be rebooked on the next flight (there are plenty), in your case it's creating consequential problems, hence my no go. Why don't you fly LHR-AMS non-stop ?
