Thanks for the detailed review. I was wondering when we'd get some feedback on this property. When we went to IST last summer, I ultimately decided against both the Fairmont and the Raffles due to their location more than anything, and chose the Four Seasons on the Bosphorus. Also, for me anyway, I prefer beautiful historic buildings over modern properties, which Fairmont's normally are, but IST is a departure from that pattern. But, good to know it's still a great hotel.
