BA is a shambles from top to bottom in terms of customer service and I'm talking about Waterhouse not the poor staff on board whose life would be much easier if these things were all simply done by pre order.
That wonít happen as they donít have space for larger meals, the logistic including delivery would be a nightmare for the CC manning ET (remember LCCs have all CC manning a single cabin and BA canít even complete a BoB service to all passengers in some flights) and if real quality meals were to be introduced, CE wouldnít have any purpose (same seats or worse if u think of exit rows). Seen on twitter a passenger saying that Titan CCs were asking BA to load more food without any success as they faced anger for slow delivery and low stocks.
