Both statements completely incorrect. The fine can be 4% of annual revenue, capped at 20 million EUR. Half of this would be a penalty should BA not inform the ICO within 72 hours.

I'm not going to speculate how much the fine will be but headlines aren't so exciting if it only says 800K EURs....
