STARS gives you breakfast, and there's a promo through the end of the 2018 for a $100 F&B credit. STARS also provides a customized welcome amenity or service.
FHR would be a wash in terms of amenities, but you won't get the follow-up from Amex than you would through a Virtuoso/STARS agent.
