Historically, Chase will not issue the card if the bonus is not attached (i.e., you don't qualify for it. Differs from AMEX policy.) The double dip is the way around the one Sapphire rule and - again - the bonus would be attached to the card or it wouldn't have been issued.

As pallhedge noted earlier, CSR/CSP double dip has been eminently successful in obtaining both bonuses. I suspect Sheldor will receive his CSR bonus eventually as there is a known problem at Chase right now with credit card sign-up bonuses not posting on time (reported on other forums.)

(If there is any problem in this scenario, in my opinion, it is that the Sheldor contacted Chase and put human eyes on the account and those human eyes noticed the two Chase Sapphire cards.)
